Oak Hill Changes Lives

“The Hartford Artisans’ Center gives me the strength I need to keep going. I have become so much more comfortable communicating with people because of the many new friends I have made and I feel good about what I have accomplished.”

- Anita Perez, blind artisan

“My advice to anyone thinking of living independently is – ‘Give me a shot!’ In the long run, it is worth it. And even along the way, as you are struggling to get there, you have a sense of accomplishment. Even trying makes you feel good.”

- Bob Raymond, Oak Hill program participant

“I never thought I could do this type of work, but your training made it easy for me to do my job productively.”

- participant, new employee orientation
