All the progress focused on safe, quality community-based care is at risk as the state comes to private agencies like Oak Hill.  Please consider doing ONE thing, today, to make your voice heard.

3.       ATTEND MEETINGS of our Oak Hill Parents and Guardians Committee scheduled for March 13th, April 17th, and May 15th.  All are welcome.  Meetings are 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the NEAT Center, 33 Coventry Street, Hartford, CT 06112 at Oak Hill (corner of Coventry St. & Holcomb St.)

Rethink Devasting Cuts - Governor's Deficit Mitigation Plan

Please rethink the devastating cuts of Gov. Rell's Deficit Mitigation Plan and Rescissions - they affect our most vulnerable Connecticut citizens.

Oak Hill and other community providers serve thousands of the state's most vulnerable residents.  Our work helps people with disabilities and other significant needs including children and adults with developmental and other disabilities.

Oak Hill recognized State Senator Jonathan A. Harris (District 5) as its 2009 Legislator of the Year.

Patrick Johnson, president, Oak Hill said, "Senator Harris is a true champion to people with disabilities." 

 

 

Oak Hill is a solution to the needs of Connecticut citizens with disabilities

 

Rather than seeing nonprofit human service providers as an unneccesary cost, Connecticut must see our efficient cost-effective services as part of the solution to the needs of our citizens.

What are self-directed services?

The State of Connecticut’s Home and Community Based Services Comprehensive Waiver and Individual and Family Supports Waiver programs through the Department of Developmental Services(DDS); is designed to help people with disabilities and their families choose and design an individualized program that will encourage growth, independence and quality of life. Oak Hill is a recognized private provider.
